June 12-16: Ocean Adventures! Who wants to ease into summer? Let’s DIVE right in! We kick off the summer with in-house adventures under the sea. We can’t head to the actual beach, but our three field trips this week get campers swimming and splashing at Volcano Island Waterpark for swimming and a picnic, a swim and picnic at Ida Lee Waterpark, and Franklin Park Pool after lunch one afternoon.

June 20-23: Nature Adventures! (4-day camp) The world around us is full of adventure potential, so let’s get outside and investigate! We will pitch tents, make smores, and enjoy a week of exploring the world in our very own backyards. We will go fishing one day and enjoy a picnic after that adventure, and will visit Cunningham Falls for hiking, swimming, and a picnic another day.

June 26-30: Animal Adventures! What’s your favorite animal? Dog? Cat? Capybara? Black Mamba? Hissing Cockroach? It’s so hard to choose because there are so many in this great big world! In addition to our in-house adventures exploring the world of animals we will visit the Catoctin Zoo and go on a safari, travel to Temple Hall Farm to visit farm animals between climbing and exploring, and will cool off one afternoon diving into Franklin Park Pool after lunch.

July 3, 5-7: Around the World Adventures! (4-day camp) What games would we play if we lived in Greece? And what food would we eat if we lived in Japan? These and many other questions will be answered this week as we adventure around the world! A trip to Ashburn Park to picnic and play as well as an afternoon dip in the Franklin Park Pool round out this week of being world adventurers.

July 10-14: STEM Adventures! STEM comes to us this week with a Children’s Science Center on the Go class! We will also be building, knocking down, constructing, and destructing with different materials in-house all week long. Our adventures will take us to the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley for a picnic and exploration, and a trip to Franklin Park Pool after lunch one day.

July 17-21: Space Adventures! No summer of adventure is complete without blasting off and exploring the universe. A field trip to Air & Space’s Udvar-Hazy Center along with a picnic is a perfect space adventure day. We also have two visits to Franklin Park this week, one for a swim after lunch in the pool, and the other to play on the playground and picnic in a pavilion after visiting their inflatable planetarium!

July 24-28: Food Adventures! Cooking and getting adventurous in the kitchen are on the menu this week! Visiting Great Country Farms for play and a picnic and a trip to Franklin Park Pool after lunch one day are two of our field trips. Our third journey takes us to Berryville Park for adventures on their awesome playground (including their 2 ½ story tall slide!) and a picnic with Willy’s Ice Cream afterwards.

July 31 – Aug 3: Arts Adventures! (4-day camp) The arts include sculpture, painting, film, music, and so much more. Let’s see how many adventures we can have this week trying our hand at as many different art media as we can! We will venture to Polka-Dot Pot to paint pottery one day with a picnic following at Jim Barnett Park and will hit the cool of a movie theatre another day with a park and picnic to follow. A highlight of the week is the One-Man Band who will visit on Monday and have us all up and dancing in the aisles!

Aug 7-11:  Water Adventures! Let’s cool off in the dog days of summer with water fun! Water balloon games, slip-and-slide, sprinkler runs, and squirt wars are all part of the adventure. We will also find our way to JayDee’s Family Fun Center Pool and Volcano Island Waterpark for our field trips, both with picnics to keep our adventurous spirits high.

Aug 14-18:  Sports Adventures! What sports have we tried before, and which ones might be new adventures to try out? Amazing Athletes will come set up an exciting day of sport games on our field one day. Our trips this week take us to the exciting world of black light putting at Monster Mini Golf and to the bowling alley for lunch and a few relaxing games.

Aug 21-23: Last Lazy Days of Summer Adventures! These last three days before school starts mean spending time with friends, relaxing while watching movies and munching popcorn, and revisiting some favorite adventures from the summer behind us.

NOTE: Field trips are subject to change.
